Emmy Award winning sportscaster Dana Larson has worked in the Dallas/Fort Worth market since 2002. She anchors nightly pregame and postgame shows for the region’s professional sports teams, including the Dallas Mavericks and the Texas Rangers. She covered the Mavericks 2011 Championship season, Dirk Nowitzki’s Hall of Fame career and the Rangers back-to-back trips to the World Series.
Larson has established herself as one of the region’s top sportscasters as an 8-time Lone Star Emmy award winner for hosting, writing and producing. She was also named the first ever female winner of the NSMA Texas Sportscaster of the Year award in 2021.
Larson graduated Magna Cum Laude from SMU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. She resides in Plano, Texas with her husband, former SMU basketball standout Jay Poerner, and their daughters, Reese and Brooklynn.
