Fourth Annual WBC Action for Impact Summit (2022)

The fourth Annual Women Business Collaborative (WBC) Action for Impact Summit will take place virtually on September 21st and 22nd. Join us for a day and a half of high-level panels and speakers discussing how best to create equal position, pay, and power for all businesswomen.

This year’s virtual Annual Summit will reach thousands across the globe and involve WBC thought leaders from our Board, Partners, Advisors, Leaders, and Corporate sponsors to speak about the latest trends and innovations in advancing the business movement for equity. At the Summit, the WBC will present awards to 10 CEOs leading the charge to advance gender equity & diversity and 6 Trailblazers whose leadership and innovation have created new pathways to change for their communities and beyond.

WBC’s 2022 CEO Excellence in Gender Equity & Diversity Award recognizes CEOs of major companies for their efforts to diversify their workforce and increase opportunities for women in business roles.

WBC’s 2022 Trailblazer in Gender Equity & Diversity Award recognizes business leaders who have implemented innovative changes in their communities that further gender equality and diversity, uplift those around them, and cultivate inclusive environments.

STEM Leaders Challenge Convention in Collaboration with MWM

March 8, 2:00-3:00 p.m. EST

Description: Hear from a cross-sector of leaders on how we can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, and choose to challenge convention.

The emcee for this virtual event is Sheila Boyington, the President/CEO of Thinking Media/Learning Blade; National States Chair for Million Women Mentors; and an Advisory Council Co-Chair for Women Business Collaborative.

Mini-keynote speeches on the “Importance of Women in STEM for Leadership Roles” will be provided by: Cliona Murphy – Vice-President, Global Quality Assurance, PepsiCo; Dr. Mary Croughan – Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor, UC Davis; and Dr. Heidi Kleinbach-Sauter – Member Board of Directors at Chr. Hansen Holding A/S Denmark, Member Board of Directors at Royal Unibrew A/S Denmark.

A panel discussion will be moderated by Lakshmi Eleswarpu, CIO and Advisory Board Member of WBC, on the topic of “How Mentoring or Having a Mentor Impacts Careers.” Panelists included: Gabriel Gonzalez – Deputy Director, Intel Foundation; Dr. Maria Velissariou – Global Vice President Corporate R&D and Chief Science Officer at Mars, Incorporated; and Dr. Rolanda Wilkerson – Principal Scientist and Senior Manager of Scientific Communications, Procter & Gamble.

The Lieutenant Governor of Delaware, Dr. Bethany Hall-Long, will provide the Call to Action to advance
women and girls in STEM.
