We’ve created ELEVATE a series of community programs with a focus on 4 key pillars:
• To tackle gender inequity in STEM
• Increasing representation within STEM
• Tackling access and awareness of opportunities in STEM for young people
• Tackling access to training and development that support upskilling within STEM fields

Through this work, we partner with STEM organizations and communities to provide free personalized programming on career development, leadership development and soft skills training. By increasing access to jobs and promotions for underrepresented talent in STEM, we will create a more diverse and thriving community across the globe.

These partnerships have led us to develop a clear action plan that focuses on Implementing unconscious bias trainings, clear promotion and salary parameters, and regular mentorship and sponsorships opportunities for colleagues. Specialist Staffing Group knows that education is at the heart of empowerment. Therefore, we run a yearly female leadership cohort called Identify that is dedicated to career development & progression. In 2022, we kicked off our supplier diversity program focused on understanding our supplier base and giving us visibility into minority and women-owned vendors, as well as our suppliers’ commitment to ESG and DEI. As part of the program, we established a process for capturing data about our existing suppliers and implemented questions regarding a supplier’s Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) classification as part of our evaluation in our Request for Proposal processes. We aim to work with suppliers that are owned by minorities or women and have set DE&I and ESG targets for their organizations.
