Andy Baker

Andy Baker is the President and Co-Founder of Swoon, an award-winning staffing firm, ranked as one of the fastest-growing in the U.S., with an expanding client roster of Fortune 1000 companies.Prior to launching Swoon, Andy was the Founder and CEO of Glotel, a global technology recruiting firm. After a successful IPO in 1999, Glotel was bought by Adecco in 2008. In 2009, Andy launched NextGen Global Resources, a staffing firm specializing in telecom, which sold to Kelly Services in 2019.Andy has advocated for advancing gender and diversity throughout his thirty-year career. During his time at both Glotel and NextGen, he mentored and replaced himself with a female CEO. In both firms, two-thirds of the senior leadership team were female with a significant focus on diversity both internally and externally. Today at Swoon, two-thirds of Swoon’s senior leadership team is female with a greater goal for Andy to replace himself with a female CEO in the next few years. As President of Swoon, Andy enjoys helping his team develop into leaders, watching careers flourish and building incredible talent partnerships with clients. He is most inspired by the endless possibilities ahead as Swoon continues to grow, innovate and deliver superior service across North America and beyond.
