Dawn Mason

Dawn Mason is the Managing Director of Purchasing for CoreCivic. Prior to promoting to her current role, she led the organizations buying team and diversity business inclusion efforts. She now champions the development and management of; strategic procurement, sourcing and contracting, supplier relationship and performance, corporate travel and events, and diversity business inclusion.

A seasoned supply management professional, Dawn spent nearly 15 years in healthcare before transitioning to the corrections industry in 2009. She has held positions of various levels of leadership such as; eCommerce Director, National Director of Purchasing and Senior Supplier Auditor for Hospital Corporation of America, CHD Meridian Healthcare and Navigator Health
Management Solutions.

Dawn obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Hampton University and a Master of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University. She serves on the executive board as operations committee chair for Dismas House Nashville, board member for The Women’s Business Enterprises Council “South (WBEC, South), certification committee member for The Tristate Minority Supplier Development Council (TSMSDC), and is a member of The Links, Incorporated. She is a graduate of Lipscomb University’s CEO Connect leadership program and an avid supporter of several professional organizations including; The Institute for Supply Management (ISM), The American Management Association (AMA), and The US Business Leadership Network.

Dawn is passionate about the advancement of Women and People of Color in entrepreneurship, enjoys writing, and resides in Nashville with her husband, 5 sons and yorkie-poo “Oreo.”
