Erin Essenmacher

Erin Essenmacher is an executive and advisor and with 25 years of experience in media, strategy and corporate governance. Most recently she served as president and chief strategy officer for the National Association of Corporate Directors with a focus on brand, new product development, strategy, innovation, digital transformation, culture and diversity. During her tenure she helped to drive a nearly 90% growth in membership and a 4-fold increase in revenue. Prior to NACD, she was an award-winning producer and director whose credits include shows for the Discovery Channel, History Channel, Court TV, PBS and independent film, as well as corporate clients like Apple, Sony and The Gap. Essenmacher has served on several nonprofit boards. She currently serves on the board of Eileen Fisher where she chairs the people and culture committee and is chair of the board of Docs in Progress.
