M. Christina Carter

M. Christina Carter, has an extensive background in healthcare executive search. For the last 10 years, Christina served as Director of Executive Recruitment for Tenet Healthcare Corporation, an $18B publicly held diversified healthcare services company operating 65 acute hospitals and 500 healthcare facilities in 43 states. Christina joined Tenet in 2013 with the acquisition of Vanguard Health Systems, where she had held a similar position since 2010. Initially, she was a member of an integration team from both companies tasked to evaluate and realign the merged organization’s executive talent strategy. She has just joined the Executive Search Division of the medicus Firm and her practice will focus on Physician leadership in large health systems across the country. During her career as an attorney, Christina practiced law with several national law firms, where she specialized in telecommunications and healthcare regulatory policy along with complex corporate and financial transactional matters. A long time resident of Washington DC Christina has been actively involved in a wide variety of public service organizations serving the local and national community including The Greater Metropolitan Boys and Girls Clubs, Girls, Inc., Child Help USA, Second Chance Employment Services, Catholic Charities and the Children’s Legal Defense Fund.
