Zeta Smith

Zeta Smith is a leader known for developing talent and driving growth within some of the most respected global brands, including Starbucks, ExxonMobil and now, Sodexo. She has taken the helm as CEO of Sodexo North America Seniors, overseeing more than 3,600 employees in more than 500 senior communities throughout the U.S. Ms. Smith is a member of Sodexo’s Healthcare and Seniors Global Executive Committee and the North America Regional Leadership Committee for Sodexo, the global leader in Quality of Life Services.Prior to joining Sodexo, Ms. Smith served as a Senior Vice President at Starbucks, where she was responsible for growth & development of over 4,000 stores in 37 states. In her 12 years at Starbucks, she led teams through both extraordinary growth and through an economic downturn. She learned that the best approach through it all is to focus on what one can control and do well “in her case, building engaged, motivated teams to deliver results. Prior to Starbucks, Ms. Smith spent over 15 years at ExxonMobil, progressing through corporate and field operation management roles. While leading through constantly evolving market trends, Ms. Smith affected positive changes in both corporate-owned and franchise operations, ultimately improving both profit, revenue and the customer experience.Ms. Smith received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland and an MBA from George Mason University, where she was a member of the Gamma Sigma Honors Society.
