Yrenilsa Lopez, Managing Director of Investments, Momentous Capital
Yrenilsa Lopez has over 13 years of experience in private equity and debt investments globally, focused on impact and sustainable assets. She presently serves as the Managing Director of Investments at Momentus Capital, overseeing investment strategy and product development to extend private debt and equity capital to underrepresented entrepreneurs and small businesses. Prior to this, she spent eight years with Women’s World Banking Asset Management (WAM) as its Portfolio Manager and Principal Investment Officer, where she led private equity transactions into gender-focused inclusive finance institutions. She has held board directorships in investment companies in Latin America, South and Southeast Asia, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Financial Inclusion Equity Council (FIEC).
Yrenilsa was previously with BlueOrchard Finance in Lima, Peru where she executed private debt investments and managed a portfolio of investments to financial institutions serving financially excluded populations. Prior to this, she was the Relationship Manager for Latin America for Developing World Markets based in Stamford, Connecticut. Yrenilsa began her career with the SME Finance department of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (now the US International Development Finance Corporation). She is a CFA Charterholder and speaks fluent Spanish and conversational Portuguese.
