Kathy Scott is co-author of the book “Stupid Gone Viral – When Science and Reality Collide.” She is also a partner and co-founder of L3 Fusion LLC, a niche firm focused on transformational leadership that helps individuals and organizations maneuver through the chaos and complexity of today’s organizations, and move to a healthier way of living, leading and learning.

Dr. Scott is also President and CEO of a firm she established in 2010, Kathy A. Scott & Associates, in Phoenix, Arizona.  Her name-sake firm specializes in healthcare, working with executives and teams to transform traditional leadership, clinical delivery, and business models to alternatives that will thrive in a highly competitive environment.

Dr. Scott holds a PhD in Healthcare Administration and Organizational Systems, a master’s degree in Public Healthcare Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing; and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Her doctoral research served as the science behind “Stupid Gone Viral.” Her expertise was gained through multiple chief executive roles (nursing, operations, innovation, integration) in several medium and large healthcare systems.

Kathy is a recognized expert in transforming organizations through reliability science, preparing them to quickly adapt to the unexpected, promote cultures of justice, and achieve sustainable results.  She is also a noted speaker and author on contemporary leadership, large-scale organizational change, clinical transformation, and patient safety. She does all this with a flair for engaging her audiences with candor and a sense of humor.
