Tawanda S. Thomas is the Founder and Principal Advisor of D8 Square Consulting, where she helps business owners, investors, and growth-minded companies strengthen their capital position, evaluate expansion opportunities, and build strategies for sustainable growth.

Drawing on nearly three decades of experience across commercial lending, real estate finance, legal services, business development, and transaction advisory, Tawanda brings a unique perspective to how businesses access capital, scale operations, and create long-term value. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside entrepreneurs, lenders, attorneys, developers, and investors to navigate complex financial decisions, structure transactions, and position organizations for growth.

Tawanda’s expertise spans capital readiness, commercial credit, business acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and commercial real estate investment. She is particularly passionate about helping founders understand how to build businesses that are attractive to lenders, investors, buyers, and strategic partners. Her work focuses on translating complex financial concepts into practical strategies that support expansion, succession planning, acquisitions, and wealth creation.

Known for her practical approach and ability to connect strategy with execution, Tawanda helps clients identify opportunities, manage risk, and make informed decisions that strengthen both business performance and enterprise value.

She holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from Johns Hopkins University and is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women Black in Business Program.
