Beth Twomey is a visionary leader driving the transformation of USTA Mid-Atlantic into a dynamic philanthropic foundation dedicated to expanding access to tennis, fostering healthier lives, and strengthening communities. Since joining the organization in 2014, first as a strategic consultant and later as Chief Operating Officer, Beth has been integral in shifting its direction—evolving from a nonprofit primarily focused on delivering recreational and competitive leagues and tournaments to a mission-driven organization leveraging tennis for greater social impact. Working alongside the CEO, Board of Directors, and a dedicated team, Beth has been instrumental in the Foundation’s philanthropic growth, developing a comprehensive strategy that elevates fundraising, sponsorships, grant programs, and donor engagement. Under her leadership, the organization has experienced dramatic expansion in philanthropic efforts, securing major investments to fuel innovative programs that make tennis more accessible and welcoming to all. She has positioned USTA Mid-Atlantic as a leader in community impact, ensuring that tennis is not just a sport but a vehicle for well-being, inclusion, and social change. Beth plays a pivotal role in the ambitious initiative to develop the USTA Mid-Atlantic Tennis Campus, Beth is leading the capital campaign and revenue strategy for this landmark project. This state-of-the-art facility will serve as a hub for growing the game, developing new players, and deepening community engagement. Her ability to align business strategies with mission-driven outcomes has elevated the Foundation’s brand and positioned it for sustained growth and impact. With expertise in organizational strategy, workforce development, and operational leadership, Beth has created a culture of innovation and excellence within USTA Mid-Atlantic. She has redefined how the organization operates, ensuring that every aspect of its business strategy is centered on impact, accessibility, and long-term sustainability. Prior to USTA Mid-Atlantic, Beth worked with senior leaders across industries in organizational development, change management, strategic planning, and business growth. She holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Development from Marymount University and is a member of the national scholastic honor society, Delta Epsilon Sigma. Beth is a SHRM-SCP, a Certified Association Executive (CAE), and holds certification from the Institute for Organization Management (IOM). A former collegiate athlete and youth coach, she is passionate about the power of sport to inspire and transform lives.
