
Nicole Venable
Senior VP, InvariantNicole Venable is a seasoned Democratic strategist with over three decades of experience spanning the private sector, Capitol Hill, and the Executive Branch. As a senior leader at Invariant, she delivers politically astute, coalition-driven legislative and public affairs strategies. Named a Top Lobbyist of 2024 by the National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics, Nicole is a trusted advisor on tax, trade, healthcare, energy, labor, and tech policy.
A key liaison to Democratic leadership in Congress, the Congressional Black Caucus, and influential committees—including House Ways & Means, Senate Finance, and Senate HELP—Nicole is among the firm’s most experienced lobbyists. She co-chairs Invariant’s Advisory Board, shaping the firm’s Mission, Vision, and Values, and founded its Diversity, Respect, Inclusion, Values, and Equity (DRIVE) Committee, curating the Dialogue for Change DEI discussion series.
Nicole’s career is distinguished by her rare experience in the House, Senate, and White House, as well as leadership roles at PhRMA and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She has spent the last 16 years as a multi-client consultant, guiding Fortune 500 companies, associations, and nonprofits through Washington’s political landscape.
Beyond her professional impact, Nicole is deeply committed to mentorship and service. She is a national trustee for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a board member of the Washington International Trade Association (WITA) Foundation, and president of the Cherry Blossom (D.C.) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. She also founded the Black Girl Magic (BGM) Network, connecting senior Black women in federal advocacy, and established the Lady Von Endowed Scholarship at Spelman College.
Nicole serves on the corporate board of Tuleva, a clean energy materials manufacturer. She is a proud Spelman College graduate and an alumna of the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
