
Amber McKenzie
Amber McKenzie is a former professional lacrosse defender who competed in Athletes Unlimited for two seasons, bringing elite defensive skill, leadership, and consistency to the field. During her AU career, she appeared in every game across both seasons, earning more than 850 leaderboard points each year and consistently ranking among the league’s top defenders.
Known for her physicality, field awareness, and ability to disrupt opposing offenses, McKenzie established herself as a reliable and impactful presence throughout her professional career. Internationally, McKenzie represented the U.S. Women’s National Team from 2007 to 2014, earning two World Championship titles and being named to the All-World Team twice. She also competed professionally with the New England Command and later served as an assistant coach. Today, McKenzie continues to contribute to the sport as Co-Director of Sound Lacrosse, where she helps develop athletes and support the growth of the game through coaching, mentorship, and program leadership.
