Babi Ahluwalia

Babi Ahluwalia was born into a close and creative entrepreneurial family in Hyderabad, India. Her parents nurtured her imaginative and independent spirit and urged her to follow her passion and attend school in New York City, to pursue a career in the fashion industry.

Attending the world-renowned Fashion Institute of Technology, Babi studied Textile Development & Marketing, it was then she began the journey that would result in her very own version of the “American Dream”. While at school she met Sachin Ahluwalia, the man that would one day become her husband, business partner, and father to their two daughters. After graduating they launched what is now Sachin & Babi, the successful luxury label known for its elegant social, cocktail, and black-tie dresses, along with bridal and highly curated ready-to-wear collections. The brand is also known for its design collaborations with some of the most exclusive Fashion Houses in both couture and ready-to-wear as well as its partnerships with well-loved niche brands that serve the high-intent social customer.
