Shanda Hinton

Shanda Hinton is the chief diversity officer at Raytheon Technologies. In partnership with the Raytheon Technologies executive leadership team, she is responsible for advancing diversity, equity and inclusion across the enterprise through strategies, programs, and initiatives focused on workforce diversity, community engagement, public policy and suppliers. In her role, Hinton has a laser focus on accelerating the design and deployment of talent attraction, development, and engagement strategies in support of Raytheon Technologies’ business and inclusive, diverse workforce. 

Hinton is an accomplished executive with broad expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion, business strategy, operations, and talent management.  Prior to Raytheon Technologies, Hinton was a Client Advisor with Korn Ferry, a global organizational consulting firm and has related executive leadership experience at Comcast NBCUniversal, one of the nation’s leading telecommunications and entertainment companies, where she led Talent Management and Diversity for their largest cable division.  Hinton started her human resources career at CIGNA Corporation where she led efforts in university recruiting and hi-potential leadership development.

 

Hinton earned a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Communications from Eastern Connecticut.  Hinton is a graduate of Raytheon Technologies’ Leadership Program at the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business and is a certified coach through the International Coach Federation.
