Carla Donev is the Chief Information Security Officer responsible for Information Security, as well as Information Technology Compliance and Identity & Access Management (IAM) supporting NiSource. NiSource serves nearly 4 million natural gas and electric customers across seven states under the NIPSCO and Columbia Gas brands. She oversees and coordinates the IT security program across the enterprise.
Carla has spent her career building, transforming, and aligning teams, policies, programs, and strategies with evolving business and regulatory needs. She is skilled in analyzing the needs and issues, building the models, introducing the technologies, and strengthening security posture for the enterprise. Carla joined NiSource in January 2018 from DSW, where she was Director of IT Security and Compliance. Carla has held a variety of leadership roles within Cardinal Health, Deloitte, and IBM. Carla has a bachelor’s degree from Baldwin-Wallace University. She holds CISA, CRISC, and CISSP certifications and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Columbus Children’s Theatre (CCT).
