Kala Iyengar joined Delaware North as Chief Data Officer in June 2022 to oversee global data utilization, governance, and analytics. Before joining Delaware North, Iyengar was the Chief Data Officer for Cognizant. She has a track record of providing creative, value-oriented and privacy-compliant solutions to real-world data issues. Kala is passionate about utilization, governance, and protection of data. As a seasoned executive with over two decades in the software industry driving big data product development and analytics, data security, privacy, and data governance, she leads the efforts to strengthen data management, promote data acumen across the organizations, and accelerate the transition to a data-centric culture. She is a driver of data democratization along with responsible and ethical stewardship of consumer data. Kala has a Master’s Degree in physics and Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
