Monique Susan Shivanandan joined Chubb in November 2017, after leading the digital transformation of Aviva, a multinational insurer headquartered in the UK. Prior to Aviva, Monique had a successful career at Capital One, British Telecommunications, BellSouth Corporation and American Management Systems. Earlier roles at British Telecom and Bell South established her credentials in infrastructure and cybersecurity. Monique is a firm advocate of women in technology. Although traditionally IT has been seen as a male-dominated environment, Monique, and many of her close network of senior, professional women, are showing that this is no longer the case. Monique has faced the challenge that many working women do – juggling a professional career with a family. She uses this experience to coach women in all levels of the organization, both IT and non-IT leaders, as she firmly believes that a company with a diverse workforce is a strong company. Monique holds a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from Lehigh University.
