As Senior Vice President & Global Chief Information Security Officer at Discovery Communications, Patricia Collins Weedon is responsible for Discovery’s global cybersecurity operations, technical security strategy and architecture, information security governance and IT risk management. She also creates award-winning information security awareness programs around cybersecurity to engage employees and partners. Patricia has a long record of success in a variety of information security, IT risk and IT compliance positions, in both private and government sectors. Prior to joining Discovery in 2015, she served as Vice President and Global Chief Information Security Officer for Quintiles, where she was responsible for the company’s worldwide cybersecurity, with concentration in biotechnology information and data protection, in a highly regulatory compliance industry. Patricia also previously served as Vice President of Information Security and Compliance for Warner Brothers, where she was responsible for all global aspects of information security and compliance worldwide. Additionally, she has more than ten years of experience within the federal government supporting classified intelligence security operations. Patricia graduated from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management Executive Scholars Program, and achieved information security awards throughout her career.
