Sara Schmidt was appointed SVP, Chief Information Security Officer at US Foods in June 2022. She previously served as CISO at Farmer’s Insurance, having also served as their Director of Governance, Risk, and Compliance, and as a Business Information Security Officer. Sara also worked at Perrigo and as an analyst for the US Department of Defense. Sara earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Aquinas College, Grand Rapids and her master’s degree in applied and computational mathematics from the Johns Hopkins University.
