Tamara J. Faber is Vice President, Technology and Chief Digital Officer of CMS Energy and its principal subsidiary, Consumers Energy. She was named to this position in 2019. In this role, Faber is responsible for the company’s information technology strategy, investments and operations. As chief digital officer, she works to connect people, smart technology and data to create better products, services and ways of working. She enjoys creating environments where people can have fun and be wildly successful. Faber joined Consumers Energy in 2013 as Director of Information Technology before becoming Vice President of Information Technology in 2016. In these roles, she led an IT quality implementation, improved operational stability, strengthened IT delivery capabilities and built a digital foundation. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University.
