Tris Lingen joined 3M in late October 2018 to lead the design and implementation of an Information Technology Risk Management framework. In October 2019, she became the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the enterprise. In this role, she is addressing evolving security architecture, associated toolsets, and related security processes. She oversees the information security practices of 3M, ensuring effective global adoption of industry security best practices and alignment with legislative, regulatory, and industry compliance requirements. Prior to joining 3M, Ms. Lingen was executive vice president and CISO for TCF Financial Corporation. In this role, Ms. Lingen was responsible for the design, implementation, and management of a comprehensive information security infrastructure for the company, including information technology risk management, operational control infrastructure, vendor risk management, and process management for legal and regulatory requirements. Ms. Lingen is a graduate of the St. Cloud State University with a degree in finance. She holds numerous certifications, including Certified Risk and Information Systems Control Manager (CRISC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), and Certified Internal Auditor. She also participates in several Security Boards and Advisory Customer Boards to collaborate and provide industry leadership.
